The May 1, 2027 General & Special Election.

The General Election will be for a Mayor and two (2) Alderman. All terms are two year terms. Applications for a place on the May 1, 2027 ballot will be accepted beginning Wednesday, January 13, 2027, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at City Hall. The last day to file for a place on the ballot is Friday, February 12, 2027, at 5:00 p.m. Candidate Packets will be available the first week of January 2027.

The Special Election will be to Reauthorize the  Local Sales Tax to Street Maintenance.

PROPOSITION - Municipal Sales and Use Tax for Street Maintenance

"The reauthorization of the local sales and use tax in the City of Clarendon at the rate of One-Fourth (1/4) of One Percent (1%) to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets. The tax expires on the fourth anniversary of the date of this election unless the imposition of the tax is reauthorized"
